Program Description
Teen Advisory Board for Ages 12 - 18
The IPDPL Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a place for area teens to gather, have fun, and be heard!
Join TAB and meet new people, make book and movie recommendations, and tell us what programs you are interested in. It is also a great resource for completing volunteer service hours.
Event Details
Let's Go Hiking!
We will meet at Black Partridge Park to walk and talk! Fall is a great time to get outdoors and see the world from a new perspective. We will make a community snack, and then hit the trails before returning in time for dinner.
Our Itinerary:
- Meet at the west picnic shelter (the one closest to the restroom building*) at 4:30
- Begin our trail exploration at 4:45
- Gather back at the picnic shelter at 5:45 for dinner
- Wrap up and go home at 6:30
IPDPL will provide:
- Trail maps
- Dinner for all registrants
- Bug Spray
- Hand sanitizer/wipes
Teens should bring:
- An ingredient for our community trail mix (dried fruit, nuts, granola, etc.)
- A filled water bottle or canteen
- A hat
- Appropriate clothes for the weather and shoes for hiking
Optional things to bring:
- Binoculars
- Phone/camera
- Trekking poles
- Compass
- Flashlight
*Please note - The water to the restroom buildings will be turned off at this time. Portable restrooms will be available near the baseball diamonds at the rear of the park. Please plan accordingly.
