Program Description

Break-In Bags

Break-In Bags are like an escape room for one person but in reverse.  Each Break-In Bag is locked with a combination padlock.  Players must solve the puzzles in the accompanying handouts to decode the combination and open the bag.  Once the bag is open, the contents are yours to keep!  If you get stuck, there are clues that will give you hints (or even the answer if you are really stuck).

Break-In Bag Rules

  • Break-In Bags are an activity for inside the library.  They should not be taken home.
  • We reuse these bags and locks.  Please do not try and "force" the bag open, as doing so could damage them and make them unusable for future Break-In Bag activities.
  • Once you have opened your bag, please return the bag, the lock, and any unused materials to the circulation desk.

Congratulations!  You have won a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the world's natural wonders!  However, there's a catch - your closest competitor is not happy with your victory and has locked your plane ticket in a bag.  To prove you are the most worthy explorer, you must use your knowledge of the Earth and its landmarks to solve a series of clues and unlock the bag.

Get ready to embark on an exciting adventure that will challenge your problem-solving skills and test your knowledge of the Earth!  Are you up for the challenge?  The world is waiting for you!

To play, pick up a Break-In Bag at the circulation desk.  Solve the puzzles in the booklet to decipher the correct combination to open the bag.  If you get stuck, there are clues in the booklet and hints in the envelope.
