Join us for a Butterfly Release Event in the Spring Bay Butterfly Garden!

Monarch butterflies are one of the most recognized species across North America, but their survival is in danger.  This enchanting and educational event is dedicated to the conservation and preservation of this peaceful pollinator.

During our program, we will

  • Learn the delicate process of tagging Monarch butterflies
  • Discover the significance of these tags and their role in tracking the butterflies' migration routes
  • Explore the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly
  • Discuss the critical importance of pollinator conservation and ways to fight habitat loss
  • Share tips for creating your own backyard butterfly oasis
  • Release tagged butterflies into the wild to begin their journey south

Learn how you can make a difference in Monarch conservation while experiencing the joy of releasing these beautiful creatures into their natural habitat. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of the critical effort to protect and support the monarchs' awe-inspiring migration.

Note: The program is subject to weather conditions. The well-being of the butterflies and their habitat remains our top priority.  In the event of inclement weather, this program may be postponed, rescheduled, or canceled.
