Illinois Prairie, in partnership with AAA Certified Confidential Security Corp., is hosting a FREE Community Shredding event!  Bring your sensitive papers, documents, and electronics for secure destruction.

Event Guidelines

• Limit of 10 boxes (banker boxes or equivalent size) per vehicle
• Acceptable materials include:
  • Paper - all types (staples, paper clips, binder clips OK)
  • Computer Media & Hard Drives
    • Internal and external hard drives
    • Solid state drives
    • Computer towers & CPUs
    • Laptop computers
    • Computer storage media - floppy discs & diskettes, film, microfilm, & microfiche, tapes, CD- & DVD-Rom discs.
• No CRT monitors (tube-style monitors)
• PLEASE NOTE: Items will not be shredded on-premises, but will be taken back to CSC's secure facility for destruction.

Established in Peoria in 1984 when the concept of commercial shredding in Central Illinois was virtually unknown, AAA Certified Confidential Security Corporation (CSC) shreds, disintegrates, and degausses confidential and proprietary information.  From a rented warehouse space and one truck to a new destruction facility with state-of-the-art security, CSC has steadily grown over the years with the addition of five trucks to its fleet, upgraded shredding equipment, and new process equipment for the ever-evolving electronic media trends.

For document shredding, papers are collected in locked security bins and transported to CSC's secure facility, where they are commingled with other documents before being cross-cut shredded (shredded twice), resulting in an undetectable mix of sources of information.

Data can be found in multiple formats which is why CSC attained certification for all types of media and hard drive destruction, and computer disposal and recycling. CSC employs a variety of types of equipment; shredders, grinders, disintegrators, and degaussers. These certified processes ensure the destruction is complete and no data remains.
