Story Time

Stories, activities, music, and movement!

Learning is a circle with no beginning and no end.  Boys, girls, and children of all ages are invited to join our circle for stories & silliness, activities & antics, music & movement, learning & laughter, and fun & fellowship!

All ages and developmental stages are welcome.  Parents and caregivers are welcome to participate or hang back, watch, and socialize.

IPDPL programming is not designed to be "drop and go" for children.  Please have a parent, guardian, or another responsible caregiver present if your child is attending this program.  Thank you!

 

Children Outdoors

Whenever possible, children's programming sessions will be held in outdoor green spaces, weather permitting.  Please call the library at (309) 921-5074 if you have questions regarding any possible weather cancellations or alternate locations.  In the event of inclement weather, sessions scheduled outdoors will be held inside the local library branch.

Create with Cricut

Did you know IPDPL has a Cricut Maker available for patron use?

Maybe you have always wanted to try a Cricut cutting machine but never had the opportunity.  Maybe you would like to learn a little more or simply try using one for yourself before you commit to spending the money.  Our "Create with Cricut" classes are the answer!

In each session, we explore a different aspect of the Cricut crafting universe, from designing an original project to creating vinyl stickers, personalized greeting cards, and iron-ons for totes, t-shirts, and more!

Stickers

Making a sticker has never been simpler!  In this session, we will make simple stickers from adhesive vinyl, use the Cricut Maker to write and cut labels, and learn how to transfer our finished design to our final product.
