Summer Reading is almost here!

Head to our Beanstack website or fire up your Beanstack Tracker app to sign up for Summer Reading 2024!  We will begin reading on Saturday, June 1, and you have until July 31 to complete your challenge.  Choose your challenge based on the goal you want to achieve this summer:

  • Read-to-Me: for beginning and emerging readers or those who have difficulty reading on their own.  Reading goal: 50 books.
  • Casual Readers: for those who like to read, but may not have a lot of time.  Reading goal: 25 hours.
  • Avid Readers: for those who love to read and just can't put a book down.  Reading goal: 50 hours.

The more your read, the more badges and prizes you earn!  We will also have special "extra" events and activities you can participate in to earn tickets for additional prizes!

Sign up today and get ready to read!

About IPDPL's Summer Reading Program

  • Reading challenges are open to readers of any age from 0 - 109.  If you have a reader older than 109 who would like to participate in our challenges, please let our staff know! 😉

  • Reading is logged primarily through the Beanstack platform.  If you would prefer to log on paper, please contact our staff.  Paper logs are available for those who want them.

  • Participation in Summer Reading activities or events is not required in order to complete the Summer Reading challenge.  Completing activities or attending programs earns the reader extra digital raffle tickets that may be used toward additional prizes.

  • Reading challenges are open to any reader, with or without a library card (from us or any other library).

  • Reading material does not need to be from the library.  Readers are encouraged to log all reading, regardless of the source.  Please see the details in our reading challenges!
